When findings tell us that achieving gender parity is over 216 years away, there is never a more crucial time than NOW to share stories that have inspired each one us to advocate for a more gender inclusive world through cross learning. To celebrate one year of #MakeWayforHer, we launched Colours of Empowerment – a unique initiative that looked at appreciating and recognising change makers. Individuals who impacted generations with their perspective, passion or commitment to the cause of reducing gender disparities were recognised. Colours of Empowerment gave a voice to all inspirational stories to people who would, in times to come, become the next generation change makers.
This gender neutral initiative also celebrated the various nuances of empowerment that look at upping the gender participation of women and calling out for shifting perceptions to break the gender stereotypes.
