Climate extremes are no longer distant risks—they are here, shaping India’s future.
In the ongoing 5th Session of the 18th Lok Sabha, discussions highlighted a stark reality from our latest report Weathering the Storm (with Esri India). Indian cities may face a two-fold rise in heatwave days and a significant increase in extreme rainfall events by 2030. Amid these deliberations, our flagship Climate Risk Observatory (CRO)—co-created with Esri India—was cited as a scalable solution to strengthen India’s climate and disaster resilience.
Aligned with the Government of India’s vision of Viksit Bharat and Atmanirbhar Bharat, the CRO provides hyperlocal climate risk insights that can empower policymakers, strengthen infrastructure planning, and safeguard lives, livelihoods, and economies. We remain committed to supporting India’s journey toward becoming a climate-resilient nation.
