According to experts in India those above 50 years old are at risk; call for government to revisit Dam Safety Act. “With the climate already being changed, these aged dams are becoming foes rather than friends, and the recent Libya crisis is a testament to this exacerbating crisis. Such crises are not new to India, and the current Dam Safety Act needs to be revisited,” says Abinash Mohanty, Sector Head, Climate Change & Sustainability.

Before DFID, he was associated with Danish International Development Agency (DANIDA), Help Age and World Wildlife Fund.
He holds a Master’s degree in Business Management with specialisation in Human Resource Management and Finance. He is extensively trained in Project Cycle Management, Grant Management, Performance Management, Leadership Skills and Change Management.
